A scheme aimed at ensuring access to means of irrigation to all agricultural farms in the country, to produce 'per drop more crop' and bring much desired rural prosperity. It has three components: Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP), Per Drop More Crop (micro-irrigation), and Watershed Development.
Benefits and conditions
Micro-Irrigation Subsidy
Financial assistance for installation of drip and sprinkler irrigation systems.
Up to 55% subsidy (maximum ₹1.5 lakh per hectare) (One-time per installation)
Water Harvesting Subsidy
Subsidy for construction of water harvesting structures.
Up to 50% subsidy (maximum ₹1 lakh per structure) (One-time per structure)
