Cash Incentive - First Child
₹5,000 provided in two instalments for the first live birth to compensate for wage loss during pregnancy and postnatal period.
₹5,000 (Two instalments)
Cash Incentive - Second Girl Child
₹6,000 provided in one instalment if the second child is a girl, subject to mandatory pregnancy registration and immunisation conditions.
₹6,000 (One-time instalment)

Exclusions
- Age below 19 years at time of first pregnancy
- Regular employment with Central/State Government, PSU, or receiving similar maternity benefits under existing law
- Not a pregnant woman or lactating mother
- Application not submitted within 270 days of childbirth
- For second child benefit: child is not a girl
- Failure to register pregnancy and complete required ANC check-ups
- Family income above ₹8 lakh per annum (unless belonging to specific priority categories like SC/ST/BPL/PMJAY/e-Shram/PM-Kisan/MGNREGA)
- Adoptive mothers (scheme is for biological mothers only)
