A Centrally Sponsored Scheme implemented through State Governments and UT administrations to support parents of SC children and other disadvantaged categories for education at the pre-matric stage. Aims to improve participation, minimize drop-out rates, and enable progression to post-matric education. Component 1 covers SC students in Class 9-10; Component 2 covers children of manual scavengers, tanners, waste pickers, and hazardous cleaning workers in Class 1-10.

- Not a child of manual scavenger, tanner, flayer, waste picker, or hazardous cleaning worker (Component 2)
- Annual family income exceeds ₹2.5 lakh (Component 1 only; no income ceiling for Component 2)
- Not a full-time student in a recognised school
- Non-Resident Indian
- Not belonging to SC category (Component 1)
